After cleansing the face, a surgical blade is gently used to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair from the outermost layers of the face, immediately leaving the skin smooth, supple, and vibrant. Dermaplaning promotes more effective product absorption and new cell growth. Our Dermaplaning Facial includes a chemical peel selected for your skin needs and type.

Your face, chest, and neck are treated.
You’ll see improvements in your skin on the same day of your treatment.
Six months before the procedure:
Don’t put skincare products on your skin that contain Accutane.

Two weeks before the procedure:
Don’t get laser treatments, chemical peels, and dermal fillers.

One week before the procedure:
Keep all Retin-A topical products and exfoliating treatments away from the treatment area. Don’t consume acne medications.

Three days before the treatment:
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds. Wear an SPF moisturizer if you must go outside during the day. Cleanse your skin on the day of treatment.
Avoid hot temperatures such as saunas for 24 hours after treatment. If you shower, use lukewarm water. For the first 48 hours, don’t use skincare products containing tretinoin. Other items to avoid include:

  • Wax
  • Exfoliation treatments
  • Acne medications

The new skin cells produced during the treatment are sensitive to the sun. Make sure to wear an SPF moisturizer. Limit the hours you’re out in the sun. No chemical peels or laser treatments for at least 48 hours.
The duration of results varies for each patient. Most patients’ skin improvements last for seven days after the procedure. If your results fade, you may need follow-up treatments to keep your skin looking radiant.
